The Scottish born, London grown producer making music for the late night overthinkers.
CYRANO ~ WHITE WINE
Cyrano’s debut single White Wine is one of immediate friendship; a track about the fleeting moments with consequential strangers that mean more to you than you ever anticipate.
Dreamt up in his bedroom, the London based producer and multi-instrumentalist crafted the track in the twilight hours, soundtracking late nights and long drives home from the studio. Cyrano teamed up on production with Oli Barton-Wood, whose credits include Nilüfer Yanya, James Blake and Blaenavon.
The song also boasts notable collaborations with Jazzi Bobbi on sax and BVs, and Leif Erikson’s Sam Johnson on guitar and bass, while Cyrano takes the lead on vocals and Rhodes piano to his MPC beats.
Music for the late night overthinkers
Cyrano comes as the medium for sharing the music and words that for years have been only for the artist himself, echoing the theme of the play Cyrano de Bergerac and the inspiration behind the project.
White Wine is a song for the middle of the night, about heartfelt conversations and deep connections that feel unique to that time.
In Cyrano’s own words, “there’s something quite alluring about those early hours; the ambience and tranquillity provides a soft focus to create, away from the modern-day distractions of the world’s routine. I’m forever chasing the hours of night when time becomes elastic and I can get lost in the space of sound.”
This is Cyrano’s debut release, which has already been featured on Jess Iszatt’s BBC Introducing show.
2021 will see an exciting and diverse range of material to follow, including his debut EP, Consolations.
To celebrate the occasion, Cyrano has paired up with Garçon Wines to design a limited-edition white wine, coming in the world’s first flat packed bottle. As well as personifying the track, it makes for the perfect gift to send to a friend you miss.
White Wine is a testament to graft, perseverance and a dream realised.
